Back Story
Hi. My name is Jim Greenwood. I was born and raised in Los Angeles … started my first business when I was 14 … graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in finance and a minor in sociology … have been married for 35 years and have four adult kids (oxymoron?) … started, owned and sold successful businesses … retired once to be with my young and growing family … got back to work … chaired a not-for-profit … traveled the United States and the world … received a black belt in Hap Ki Do/Tai Kwon Do … and now I am looking forward to grandchildren.
The common denominator of the above, and what I found myself thinking about in 2007, was personal change (go figure). I saw it all around me and in my relationships, friends, associates, clients, and family.
Those observations became a book called The Truth of Small Steps focusing on the ever present components of change and progress. I found that overnight success was a myth. Aha! Moments of inspiration were inspiring, but then what? How do you create the next steps to move forward? How do you move through the blocks and low points?
Enter a blog I named Tossly, the acronym of Truth of Small Steps with LY added to make it both a noun and an adverb. Here you will find information on how to use personal change to make days more enjoyable, futures brighter and progress more controllable. If you are ready to have more of what you want and less of what you don’t want, I’m glad you’re here.
